Description
This was my final project for my Texturing for 3D class at the University of Utah. In total only 11,918 polygons. Not bad, eh?
I did a camera angle test a while back. Nobody objected or had any better suggestions, so I went with that one. I still haven't gotten the hang of lighting yet. Rendered in Maya, only because I couldn't get the textures working right in Blender. I don't know how to light stuff as well in Maya as I do in Blender, but I did my best. Additionally, since the old one was rendered in Blender and this one was in Maya, converting the camera's Blender coordinates to Maya coordinates was fun. Also, I forgot to convert the camera settings, so the images don't quite line up.
I rendered out a fairly-normally lit image first, then one with minimum lighting and one with ridiculously bright lighting. I then combined them in Photoshop and did some touching up using those different versions, all other touching up I did is the SSS on the jade. Again, this was about the textures, not the lighting. Although, honestly, between you and me… it looks better in the dark.
I know it's incomplete, but I think it still looks nice. Anyway, enjoy the pic~! And remember, feedback is appreciated. ^_^

Could I also use this as the album artwork for one of my songs? It is the Song of Time, with lyrics in Latin (sounds like Gregorian Chant).
