In A Day's Work

Short description of the events leading up to this picture:


Of all the patrols he had to be assigned that day, why'd it have to be the Housing District? Not that Finn was much of a a complainer… It's just that it seemed that every time he was assigned to that patrol, there would be this one kid that always seemed to fall off. It was as if the kid was knocked off Skyloft on the slightest breeze. He was a phenomenon among the senior knights: known for reliably keeping knights on their toes.

Anyhow, Finn usually wouldn't complain about such a task, but the combination of the fact that the Housing District Patrol was the most common place that one kid would always fall off and the menacing storm clouds were brewing was setting Finn on edge.

Hou cooed nervously.

"I know, friend." Finn preened the side of Hou's head. They weren't on their usual patrol—the Southwest Zone Patrol—and the combination of that and the darkening sky was making both of them nervous.

A strong gust blew, nearly knocking Finn off his trusty mount. Surely, now of all times that one kid would is bound to fall…

True to his reputation, the startled shout of a young boy sounded not too far in front of Finn and Hou.

"Our time to shine, buddy!"

Hou squawked in acknowledgment.

Together, both Hou and Finn shot towards the falling figure. Here we go again… All in a day's work for Finn.

This picture is for the contest about Skyloft knights. For the contest, the Loftwing Statuette is in [the *girl's] hands. No, I don't know how it got there. The falling [°boy] is the one being saved by Finn (the knight) and Hou (the Loftwing).
