Gray clouds covered the sky, yet the sun shone harshly upon the barren desert. Gusts blew at the cliffs, throwing plumes of dirt into the air. Massive craters dotted the land and mountains; a legacy of what took place long ago.

In the same vein as the Wrex I drew six months ago, I guess. And, like Wrex, I didn't use reference.

I was bored during one of my three-hour classes and I had my tablet with me, so I drew Garrus. I tend to draw turians when I'm bored. o_O But I can never seem to get that far mandible right…

Technically a speed paint, mostly done over the course of three hours and touched up during a slightly-more-active three-hour class the next day. And, since my school has CS6, this was drawn in PhotoShop CS6 instead of my usual CS3.

Yeah, I found out from an art book I bought. It showed some turian concepts, and in one of them it was squawking. It also talked about the various species the Mass Effect aliens were inspired by. Turians = birds, batarians = bats, hanar = jellyfish… etc.
